France Telecom R&D exhibits in pre-view at the 3-GSM World Congress, in Cannes, its new generation of Wearable Communication : CreateWear™.   This cloth works like a communication device.
     
Presentation    
From 23 to 26 February 2004 in Cannes, during the 3-GSM World Congress, France Telecom R&D showed its latest technology of colors devices devoted to clothes and specific Telecom services, essentially in mobility. There are 2 prototypes of Wearable Communication for man and woman witch have been présentés during a "fashion show" while the first two days of the congress (23 and 24 February).

This service, witch currently uses the existing Mobile-Network infrastructure, enables on-line access to database by the way of GPRS (such as "Downloading logos"). It also enables users to "play" with advanced fonctionnalities of their Mobile-Phone, depending on their tempers, their envies... 		 

 

During this event in Cannes, these CreateWear prototypes were presented both by France Telecom R&D in partnership with Orange Research & Innovation demonstrating so the synergism between the 2 laboratories and the capacity of France Telecom to innovate and anticipate new uses in the domain of "Wearables" communication devices, associated to the services and "look & feel" of Orange.
